- Up to 3 hours with me, relaxed and unhurried. Every pose, hand position and expression is guided.
- Your digital portraits: 30 finished digital portraits. A Business Headshot session includes 10 professionally retouched digital portraits.
- Two 11x14 inch fine art prints with every session that is not Digital Only.
- Your choice of delivery: an online gallery or an in-person reveal appointment, whichever you prefer.
- Apart from the free consultation, all session bookings require a non-refundable deposit.
- If something comes up and you need to move your date, let me know as early as you can and we will find another one.
- Additional people and hair and makeup are available by request. A travel fee may apply outside St. John's.
- Your portraits are never shared publicly without your written consent.
Fine Art Portrait Session, Solo
A portrait session that is entirely about you.
This is the heart of Our Faces in Light. You don't need to be photogenic and you don't need to know how to pose; you just need to show up. We slow down, find the light that suits you and create fine art portraits that show who you are and how you want to be seen. Most people arrive a little nervous; it never lasts.
- A free 30 minute consultation, in person or online, to plan the portraits, the wardrobe and how you want to feel
- Up to 3 hours in the studio or at an outdoor location, guided the whole way through
- Use of the studio wardrobe: dresses, casual pieces and bodysuits
- 30 finished digital portraits
- Two 11x14 inch fine art prints (not included with Digital Only)
- Your choice of an online gallery or an in-person reveal appointment
- Wardrobe. We plan for up to six outfits: two dresses or gowns, two casual looks and two of your choice. We may not use all six; that depends on how the session flows.
- Hair and makeup. Your own works perfectly, and so does professional. Aim for what feels like you, one notch more polished than a normal day, and bring a touch-up kit.
- What photographs well. Solid colours and simple textures rather than busy prints or large logos; but if a piece matters to you, bring it.
- Company. Bring a friend or partner if it helps you relax. They are welcome.
- There are no previews on the back of the camera. You see your portraits fully finished, a week or two after the session.
- If a pose doesn't feel right, say so and we move on. Nothing is compulsory.
- Extra prints, wall art and albums can be added from the print products.
Fine Art Portrait Session, Family
Portraits shaped around the people in them.
Every family has its own rhythm: the personalities, the connections and the small things that make it yours. A family session gives everyone time to settle in, so the portraits look like your family and not like a line-up. I guide the groupings and the poses; nobody needs to know what to do.
- A free 30 minute consultation, in person or online, to plan the portraits, the wardrobe and how you want to feel
- Up to 3 hours in the studio or at an outdoor location, with time for the whole family together and for smaller groupings
- 30 finished digital portraits
- Two 11x14 inch fine art prints (not included with Digital Only)
- Your choice of an online gallery or an in-person reveal appointment
- Coordinate, don't match. Pick two or three colours that sit well together and let everyone dress within them. Solid colours and simple textures photograph best.
- Tell me who is coming. At the consultation, let me know who will be in the portraits so we can plan the groupings ahead of time.
- Children. Bring what keeps them comfortable: a snack, a favourite toy, a change of clothes. We work at their pace and take breaks whenever they are needed.
- Outdoor sessions. We choose the location together and plan around the light. If the weather turns, we find another date.
- If someone else has a say in what goes on the wall, bring them to the reveal or share the gallery with them.
- A travel fee may apply for locations outside St. John's.
- Folio boxes and albums suit family sessions well; see the print products.
Fine Art Maternity Session
This chapter is short. It deserves to be remembered beautifully.
Your maternity session is calm and unhurried from start to finish, with lighting and posing designed to flatter and to celebrate you. Come on your own, or choose the Couples option to include your partner in the portraits. We take breaks whenever you need them, and your comfort leads the pace of the day.
- A free 30 minute consultation, in person or online, to plan the portraits, the wardrobe and how you want to feel
- Up to 3 hours, guided the whole way through, with as many breaks as you like
- Use of the studio wardrobe, or bring your own pieces; most clients do a mix
- 30 finished digital portraits
- Two 11x14 inch fine art prints (not included with Digital Only)
- Your choice of an online gallery or an in-person reveal appointment
- Timing. Most clients choose the third trimester, when the bump is well defined and moving and posing is still comfortable. Book early so your date is held.
- Wardrobe. Fitted or flowing pieces that show your shape photograph best. We go through the options together at the consultation.
- On the way in. Wear something loose. Tight straps and waistbands leave marks on the skin that take an hour to fade.
- Your partner. For Couples sessions, simple solid colours that sit well beside your outfits work best.
- If something comes up and you need to move your date, tell me as early as you can and we will find another one.
- Your portraits are never shared publicly without your written consent.
- Hair and makeup are available by request.
Graduation Photos
You worked hard for this; let's mark it properly.
A graduation session goes well beyond the standard cap and gown photo. We make the formal portrait your family will want on the wall, and then we make portraits of the person who earned it: relaxed, confident and entirely you. Bring your gown, a favourite outfit, or both.
- A free 30 minute consultation, in person or online, to plan the portraits, the wardrobe and how you want to feel
- Up to 3 hours, guided the whole way through, with time for your gown and for your own outfits
- 30 finished digital portraits
- Two 11x14 inch fine art prints (not included with Digital Only)
- Your choice of an online gallery or an in-person reveal appointment
- Regalia. Bring your gown, cap and hood, pressed and on a hanger. If yours is rented, book your session for a date when you have it in hand.
- Your own outfits. Add one or two looks that feel like you; something dressed up and something everyday is a good balance.
- Meaningful extras. A diploma, a medal, a team jacket, an instrument; anything tied to what you studied or achieved is welcome.
- Family. If you would like family in some of the portraits, mention it at the consultation. Additional people are available by request.
- Booking ahead of convocation keeps your choice of day open.
- The two 11x14 inch prints make a natural gift for parents and grandparents. More can be added from the print products.
- You see your portraits fully finished, a week or two after the session.
Business Headshot
A polished, professional headshot that looks like you on your best day.
Your headshot is often the first impression you make. We take our time with lighting, posing and expression so you walk away with portraits you are glad to put your name beside. With up to 3 hours there is room for outfit changes and several different looks, from formal to approachable.

- Up to 3 hours, guided the whole way through, with time for outfit changes and a range of looks
- 10 professionally retouched digital portraits, suitable for LinkedIn, your website, press and print

- Outfits. Bring two or three: what you would wear to meet your most important client, and something a little more relaxed. Solid colours work best; avoid large logos and busy patterns.
- Fit and finish. Try everything on beforehand and bring it clean and pressed. Jackets and collars show every crease.
- Grooming. Avoid a first-time haircut or new skincare in the days before. Stick with what you know.
- Glasses. If you wear them every day, bring them; people should recognise you.
- Business Headshot sessions are digital only. Prints are not included, but any of the print products can be added.
- There are no previews on the day. You see your portraits fully finished, a week or two after the session.
- A travel fee may apply outside St. John's.
Print Products

Two 11x14 inch fine art prints are already included with every session that is not Digital Only. Everything here is optional and can be chosen once you have seen your finished portraits, in your online gallery or at your reveal appointment. There is no minimum purchase and no pressure.
Matted Prints
A fine art print presented in a mat, ready to frame or to display on its own. Sizes show the mat first, with the image size in brackets.
Folio Box with Prints
A linen-covered box holding a set of eight prints; a collection to keep together, display in turn or pass down.
Fine Art Albums
Your session told as a story across 16 pages. Album layout selection is included free of charge.
Fine Art Prints
Larger prints for your walls, available unframed or framed and ready to hang.
All sizes are in inches. Please allow 3 weeks for print orders to be fulfilled. Album layout design time is in addition to the 3 weeks required for print fulfilment. Larger and custom sizes are available upon request.
